Day 5: The White House and beyond
We took pictures of the Obama's temporary residence this morning and onward to Ford's Theatre to see where Lincoln was shot. Got to view the original Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights at the National Archive. Cool, old timey stuff! Saw the amazing National Cathedral and took in a few more memorials to call it a day...
Day 4: It was a long day
We went from 8 till almost 11 last night touring DC. Saw lots. Toured the Library of Congress, Capital, Arlington, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and a few other sites in between... More today!

Day 2: More Williamsburg, VA
Blogging from an iPhone is very convenient, but I find it challenging to type lengthy descriptions for the details of the day with only my thumbs. Despite that, I thought I would post more pics anyway. Fun day! Enjoy -- I'll have to explain them all later (it's past my bedtime)...
Day 2: Williamsburg, VA
Well, this was too cool. Time warp 200+ years back in time to colonial life. Got to see where some of the first meetings and conversations took place to organize our separation from England. Later, after dinner, we get to come back to join up and train for the colonial army. Fun fun!

Day 1: U of Virginia
Quick stop at the beautiful University of Virginia. The coolest part was seeing Edgar Allen Poe's dorm room! Can ya see the raven in this pic?
Day 1: Jefferson
So great to finally get to see Monticello -- always wanted to. Got a little choked up being in the house and actually standing inches from the bed where Thomas Jefferson died. Genius. Thank you, TJ. Thank you.
